Become comfortable with silence.

Alone with our thoughts we have nothing to do but listen to the voice inside us. It is hard sometimes to face our self. We try to fill the space of our thoughts with noise and action. We put on the TV while we're doing chores alone, listen to the radio or put on loud music. We surround ourselves with people. We try to keep busy because the pressure of activity, however aimless, stops the voice of inactivity from intruding. 

Yet it is when we are alone inside our head that we make the most valuable breakthroughs. It is then that we appraise our life and examine the direction we are travelling towards. Sometimes the pressure of silence, the quiet insistence of our thoughts crushes us.

Seek out the silence. Become comfortable with the discomfort of your thoughts.
