Control and emotions and emotional regulation require a behavioral strategy.

The world tries to leach you out of yourself by making demands of your time and energy. Whatever surroundings you're in, you will have to react. Reactions soak up energy. They burn time. They lead to new situations. New reactions.

Staying in control never "just happens". You need to have your own strategy. You need to be able to recognize what you can and cannot control

Emotional regulation is the first step towards controlling your inner world, which then allows you to control your surroundings

You need a strategy because the future is uncertain and you will need to adapt.

Everything is built from the ground up, in small steps.
