The risks you take define you

Risks and Behavior

A known risk will scare you. It represents a threat you will try to avoid. An unknown risk will blindside you. You will not see it coming until it is too late.

We are hardwired to try and avoid risks. Worse than that, we often try to not even think about them. Denial, is a stress-mitigation strategy.

Here's the thing. In order to get where you want to be, you will always need to take risks. Unless you actively think about them and prepare yourself you will never be quite ready for them.

Risk is part of life. A failure to embrace that truth means the life you embrace is incomplete.
