Take real good care of yourself

To better practise self care, we need to start with the acknowledgement that self care takes practice and a certain degree of compassion. The problem is, these are qualities we do not readily extend to our self. As a result we lack discipline and self-control when we need it most. 

Better self care, like everything else, starts by creating self care routines that you can implement every day, when the pressure is not on:

  • Eat well
  • Eat right
  • Hydrate
  • Sleep well
  • Breathe right
  • Let your mind wander
  • Find ways to have fun
  • Unplug and recharge from time to time
  • Find ways to exercise (even if it's just a brief walk)

No one should be more responsible for yourself than you.
