Effort and focus

It takes effort to become anything. It then takes effort to maintain what you have become. Consider the injustice of it for a moment: you strive hard to be what you want because you know it has value to you. You get there. Then just to stand still, you have to maintain the effort. Now consider the context: value. We value something because it is not easy to achieve. The things we value are always difficult to attain and easy to lose. Value is constant.

Consider all this. You then understand why some days, for no reason at all, feel incredibly difficult to get through.
